Mishkat Al-Masabih is a prominent book of hadith and infect a combination of two books: a) Masabih As-Sunnah b) Mishkat. It is one of the top most books of ahadith and is taught in various Madaris as a text book. It is one of the reason that the people of knowledge have written many commentaries on it. It is also important for one who reads Mishkat to also read about the Asma wa Ar-Rijal which is also discussed in this book towards the end. The Mishkat al-Masabih of Imam Waliuddin Abu Abdullah Mahmud Tabrizi is a comprehensive book on hadith taught around the world to students of the subject, especially in the Subcontinent where it is studied before the six famous collections, to be able to prepare for them.
